Grady is a Professionally licensed Real Estate Broker in Washington State since 2015. After living in Alaska for 30 years, he has now made the Pacific Northwest’s wonderful Puget Sound his permanent home and is ready to use all the skills and experiences at his disposal to help you be successful in obtaining a new house or in selling your current home to another aspiring Puget Sound resident.
Prior to becoming a Real Estate Broker Grady worked for about 10 years in Elementary Education, first as a Substitute teacher and then ultimately in his own classroom. He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching at the K-8 level. The 5 years of service as classroom teacher in several different schools has allowed Grady many insights into the different lifestyles of a wide variety of students and their families. This knowledge helps him to understand the particular needs of each family seeking a new home, and he is comfortable working with both experienced and first time home buyers.
Grady is a military veteran, having served 9 years in the United States Navy and about 2 years in the Alaska Air National Guard. Additionally, he has family members that have or are serving in the Marine Corps and Army. He understands how being a military family member works, and in addition to his personal experiences with PCS moves and deployments, has obtained certification as a Military Relocation Professional (MRP) , to further help his veteran clients throughout their moving processes.
Grady also holds the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation, which has prepared him to help older clients and their families to transition to new and changing housing situations as the aging process dictates. Grady can help clients find resources to help with downsizing or finding a retirement home, or to obtain support services for elders through his community contacts.
Outside of his work activities you’ll find Grady volunteering at the Tacoma Animal Shelter, The Grand Cinema, and occasionally doing other community service work with his Real Estate peers and friends. He enjoys motorcycling, live music, and outdoor activities like bicycling and kayaking and is anxious to help others find a great home in the Magnificent Puget Sound.
